Account
Pass the Buck uses Supabase Auth for email and password accounts. Your account stores your display name, color, wallet balance, game history, receipts, achievements, friends, and mug shot choices.
Gameplay
Multiplayer games store join codes, player seats, dice rolls, optional friendly table notes entered by players, and final results so everyone in the same game sees the same table state.
Reports and Safety
If you report player names, table notes, receipts, mug shots, or other content, Pass the Buck stores your report, the reference you provide, and your account id so support can review and respond. Reports are used only for safety, moderation, support, and App Review compliance.
Push Notifications
If you allow notifications in the iOS app, Pass the Buck stores an Apple push token tied to your account. It is used for explicit turn nudges from other players and can be disabled by signing out or deleting your account.
Bucks
Bucks in your account are earned through signed-in play and used for optional style features such as mug shots. Pass the Buck does not sell Bucks in v1. Bucks cannot be redeemed for money, prizes, gambling, or real-world goods, and they are never wagered between players.
Mug Shots
If you use Mug Shot Booth, your selected photo is sent to the Pass the Buck server and OpenAI to generate a game mug shot. The generated mug shot is stored in Supabase Storage. The uploaded source photo is not kept as a profile asset by Pass the Buck.
Deletion
You can delete your account from the Account section. Deletion removes your auth user and cascades through profile data, wallet records, push tokens, mug shot records, and social data. Shared game records are kept for other players, but your player name is replaced with "Deleted Player" and table notes from games you hosted are removed. Generated mug shot files are removed from storage before the account is deleted.
Processors
Pass the Buck uses Supabase for authentication, database, storage, realtime, and edge functions; Vercel for hosting; Apple for iOS push delivery; and OpenAI for optional mug shot generation.
Tracking
Pass the Buck does not sell your data and does not use it to track you across other companies' apps or websites for advertising.
